When we arrived here 4 years ago, I really wanted to buy a diesel, badly.... Sadly, now, as then, diesel's were just out of my price range. The clean air legislation of California has thrown this state into the dark ages in this regard. Put simply, your 1985 Peugeot is illegal, thus you cant buy them here.
